The hearts of many in Nyeri County are heavy as photos of the 21 boys who perished in the tragic dormitory fire at Hillside Endarasha Academy have been released. These young lives, full of potential and promise, were cut short in a heartbreaking incident that has left the community in mourning.

An interdenominational funeral service is scheduled for tomorrow at Mweiga Stadium in Kieni Constituency, beginning at 8:30 AM. The service will provide a space for family, friends, and community members to come together in grief and remembrance.

Following the service, the bodies will be released to the bereaved parents for burial, marking a somber farewell to their beloved children.

Acting Central Regional Commissioner Pius Murugu said the government will cover all burial expenses for the affected families, ensuring that they are supported during this difficult time.

As the community prepares to honor the memories of these innocent boys, a sense of unity and compassion prevails, reminding everyone of the fragility of life and the importance of standing together in times of sorrow.
