Prominent content creator and influencer Tabitha Gatwiri has died from suffocation, according to an autopsy report conducted at the Kenyatta University Funeral Home. The report states that Gatwiri passed away due to positional asphyxia accompanied by brain edema.

Positional asphyxia is a form of suffocation that occurs when an individual’s body position restricts adequate breathing. It can happen when a person remains in an abnormal position for an extended period, potentially obstructing the airway and preventing sufficient oxygen intake. This condition can lead to unconsciousness, suffocation, and, ultimately, death.

Gatwiri’s death was announced on October 31. Friends close to the late comedian reported on social media that she had fallen ill two days prior but remained in good spirits, sharing messages that reflected her upbeat demeanor.

Concerned about her well-being after failing to reach her via calls and texts, Gatwiri’s brother visited her home, where he discovered her lifeless body.

At just 29 years old, Gatwiri was a successful content creator, amassing over 120,000 followers on TikTok. She was well-known for her comedic skits, including her viral debut discussing her university boyfriend and his romantic language. Gatwiri also appeared in the popular series “The Real House Helps of Kawangware,” further establishing her presence in the entertainment industry.
