Yesterday, the Catholic Archdiocese of Nyeri held a solemn mass at Mathari to commemorate the faithful departed. The gathering brought together members of the community to honor those who have passed away.

In his address to the congregation, Archbishop Anthony Muheria emphasized the importance of remembering the departed as a reminder of our shared journey through life. “We do not have a lasting kingdom here on earth,” he noted, urging attendees to reflect on their spiritual paths.

Archbishop Muheria also called upon priests and religious leaders to take an active role in guiding the faithful. “Christ asks us to remove stones and mark the roads so that the people of God do not lose their way,” he said. He encouraged them to strive to be better signs of hope and guidance, leading the community towards heaven.

The mass served as a poignant reminder of the bonds of faith that connect the living and the departed, reinforcing the Archdiocese’s commitment to spiritual leadership and community support.
