In a heartwarming gesture, Nyeri Woman Representative Rahab Mukami took to her Facebook page to announce that she has cleared the school fees for twin girls, Rose and Lucy, from Magutu Girls Secondary School.
The total amount, which exceeded Ksh. 200,000, covers their educational expenses since they joined Form 1.
The twins, who are currently in Form 4, have shown remarkable academic promise despite facing significant challenges in their early lives. Abandoned by their mother as newborns, they have been raised by their elderly grandmother, who relies on casual jobs to provide for their wellbeing.
Mukami expressed her gratitude to the Magutu Girls fraternity for their understanding and support in allowing the students to continue their education despite accruing large fee balances.
She reiterated her commitment to support Rose and Lucy until they complete their education, highlighting the importance of ensuring that no child is left behind.
