Former Nyeri Town MP Esther Murugi is reportedly gearing up to make a significant political comeback as she sets her sights on the Nyeri Gubernatorial seat in the upcoming 2027 general elections. Sources indicate that she is in the process of organizing strategy meetings to lay the groundwork for her campaign.
Murugi, who has previously served two terms as the Nyeri Town MP, brings a wealth of experience to the table. During her tenure, she was known for her dedication to her constituents and her impactful leadership. Additionally, she served as the Minister of Special Programs under the administration of former President Mwai Kibaki, where she played a crucial role in implementing various initiatives.
Currently, Murugi is a commissioner at the National Land Commission.
