Bodaboda Rider Killed in Hit-and-Run Incident in Nyeri

A bodaboda rider was tragically killed on the spot after being struck by a hit-and-run vehicle in the Kanyama area along the Kenol-Marua dual carriageway in Mathira Constituency. The incident occurred when a speeding saloon car collided with the rider and then sped away from the scene.

Eyewitnesses reported that the saloon car was traveling at high speed on Saturday morning when it struck the bodaboda rider, who was thrown from his motorcycle upon impact. The driver of the vehicle did not stop to check on the victim and quickly fled the scene, leaving the rider with fatal injuries.

The identity of the deceased rider is currently unknown as authorities work to inform his next of kin. The body has been taken to mortuary pending identification and further investigation.
