Vocal former Nyeri Nominated MCA Nyawira Wa Kariuki, took to her Facebook page to express concern over the political trajectory of former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua. In her post, she criticized Gachagua’s advisors, suggesting they are misleading him as he navigates the aftermath of his recent political turmoil.
Nyawira likened Gachagua’s situation to someone trapped in a burning house, stating that while it’s natural to scream for help, there comes a time to focus on recovery. “When someone is in a burning house, you can’t advise them how to scream or ask them not to shout for help,” she wrote. “Riggy G is coming from a burning house politically.”
She highlighted that during Gachagua’s impeachment crisis, the public allowed him to voice his pain through media conferences and interviews. Now that he has emerged from that difficult period, she urged him to shift his focus toward healing. “We need to let him know that he should stop screaming, even if the wounds hurt, and concentrate on his healing,” she advised.
Nyawira expressed concern over Gachagua’s upcoming media appearances, warning that his words could be used against him by political adversaries. “The kirîrîmbî interview is another setup for Riggy G,” she cautioned. “He needs to be very calculative as his enemies might use his past to harass him.”
In light of the emotional toll, she encouraged Gachagua to take a break, suggesting that he go on a holiday abroad for a few months to relax and regroup. “He needs to digest everything slowly and lay down a new strategy to maintain his political relevance,” she stated.
Nyawira concluded by urging Gachagua to adopt a more strategic approach to his political future, emphasizing the importance of appearing composed and focused as he navigates the challenges ahead. “Can he learn to act like he has lost while he reorganizes himself politically?” she asked, highlighting the complexities of political survival in a competitive landscape.
