Dr. Patrick Muchemi, Chief Principal of Kabete National Polytechnic, yesterday welcomed a delegation from Special Olympics Kenya to discuss the upcoming Inclusive Healthy Athletes Screening event scheduled for Wednesday, February 12, 2025. The event will take place at the grounds of Kabete National Polytechnic.
The initiative aims to provide essential medical screenings for athletes while promoting inclusion through a Unified Football Competition. The lead medical team for the event will be provided by Lions SightFirst Hospital, ensuring comprehensive health assessments for participants.
Notable guests of honor at the event will include Hon. Salim Mvurya, the Minister of Sports, Dr. Esther Muoria, the Permanent Secretary for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), along with delegates from Lions International and heads of various UN agencies.
This event underscores a commitment to fostering inclusivity in sports and ensuring that athletes receive the necessary health support to thrive in their endeavors.
