The political atmosphere in Nyeri is heating up as Mukurwe-ini MP John Kaguchia has responded to Mathira MP Eric Wamumbi following Wamumbi’s recent criticism of former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.
In a provocative post on his Facebook page, Wamumbi questioned Gachagua’s relevance, asking, “Are you going to show us the way forward for the new year? Where to go? Opposition? Are you going to take the Kikuyu community to the Opposition?”
He continued, emphasizing that the Kikuyu community should not align with Kalonzo Musyoka to form an opposition for ten years, stating, “The Kikuyu cannot go to the Opposition. Let’s meet in the new year.”
In a swift rebuttal, MP John Kaguchia urged Wamumbi to refrain from “unwarranted attacks” on Gachagua.
“Now that Riggy G is moving on with his life away from the office he held for two years, let him be,” Kaguchia said.
“We the elected leaders in offices MUST now settle down to work and fulfill our promises to the people of Kenya. Otherwise, I am going to appoint myself the head of Riggy G defense forces,” Kaguchia added
