In a fiery exchange on social media, Kapseret Member of Parliament Oscar Sudi has launched a scathing attack on Public Service Cabinet Secretary Justin Muturi following remarks about the abduction of Muturi’s son in June last year.
Muturi yesterday claimed that the National Intelligence Service (NIS) Director, Noordin Haji, was aware of his son’s whereabouts during the abduction, suggesting that President William Ruto intervened to ensure his release. This statement has sparked controversy, with Sudi accusing Muturi of attempting to manipulate public sentiment.
Taking to Facebook, Sudi described Muturi’s comments as a “desperate move” indicative of a “COWARD man clutching at straws for political expedience.” He further questioned the sincerity of Muturi’s claims, asking, “In regards to your son’s woes, who is my AGEMATE, kwani alishikwa bure??”
Sudi’s post did not hold back, suggesting that Muturi’s political career has significantly declined, and accused him of blackmailing the public. He added that there are plenty of qualified professionals from the Embu community ready to serve, implying that Muturi should step aside.
As the situation unfolds, it remains to be seen how this public spat will affect the political fortunes of both Sudi and Muturi.
