Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has announced that Senators and Members of Parliament from the Mt Kenya region are ready to resign from the UDA party and participate in by-elections under his new political vehicle.

During a recent TV interview, Gachagua emphasized that the decision to delay the launch of his party until May was made collectively, allowing time for the reconstitution of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC). He expressed confidence in the support of regional leaders, stating, “The whole mountain has moved from UDA.”

Gachagua reassured his supporters that those who choose to transition to his new party would have strong prospects for re-election.
