Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has criticized President William Ruto for his use of harsh language towards critics.
Speaking in Mukurwe-ini Constituency, Nyeri County, Gachagua emphasized the need for the president to respect the electorate, reminding him that they are his employers with the right to voice their concerns on issues that affect them.
Gachagua’s comments follow President Ruto’s controversial description of some opponents as “stupid” for opposing his projects.
He also urged President Ruto to refrain from targeting him since he ousted him from office as Deputy President.
