A 21-year-old man, Victor Ambeyi, has been arrested in connection with the murder of his employer, Catherine Waceke Kimotho, in Kasarani. The incident occurred on Sunday, November 10, in the Njathaini area, where the victim’s body was found at her home.
Ambeyi, who worked as a casual laborer for Kimotho, was located by detectives at a hideout in the Valley area of Kinoo, Kiambu County, following intelligence tips. He was apprehended alongside his cousin, Collins Seda Wanjau, 22, who is suspected of harboring him.
During subsequent investigations, detectives traced the deceased’s mobile phone to a repair shop in Githurai 44, leading to the arrest of 22-year-old Benjamin Kimani Mwaura, the shop owner.
The three suspects are being held at Kasarani Police Station and are expected to be arraigned tomorrow. Authorities continue to investigate the motive behind this tragic incident.
